Rental Property
“ We hired Phil in 2004 based on word of mouth to build a two bedroom, two bath rental property. Aside from a few setbacks that couldn't be helped (e.g., we ordered a metal roof that was shipped by rail, and the train derailed), Phil and his crew came in ahead of schedule and under budget.
We were both impressed by the fact he didn't cut corners. Understanding that rental properties generally take more of a beating than standard residential properties, he went out of his way to ensure that everything was built to last, adding extra touches like solid internal doors rather than hollow core ones. Moreover, Phil worked with our best interests at heart, advocating for us when we hit some sticky areas with permits and inspections; we have not had that type of experience with a builder in the past.
We have hired Longview several times sinced then as well as recommended him to our friends and family. We are happy to endorse his company. ”

Artist's Studio
“ Phil conformed to my vision for my studio, always respectful of what I wanted. I can't begin to say how wonderful RASTRA is as well. Even after building an 1,100 square foot studio with 16 foot ceilings, my utilities are barely affected.
Phil was very flexible. I changed my mind about the space a lot as it was being constructed, and he worked with me to accommodate the building as a work in progress. He was shockingly timely, and he did things like handle complaining neighbors. He went as far as to be at the studio with a 102° fever at the crack of dawn, sleeping in a lawn chair to make sure that he was there for the final city inspection.
Phil worked with great integrity, he worked with me, he was expedient, affable, quick, predictible, and friendly both to me and his workers. ”
